Midi Repository: doomworld.com/forum/topic/151824-lvendeads-midi-compositions
This track was my second attempt at writing a midi for our credits map. The first one was actually going to be an elaboration on the main menu song, but the further into the idea I got the less I liked it.
I came back to square one on this song and looked for a new thread to pull. At some point I started working on these chords you hear in the opening, and I can't recall exactly the order, but I ended up bringing out the vibraphone again to give the song a big of resonance (pun somewhat intended) with other music I'd written for the wad.
My interpretation of the ending climb in Exhumed is one of relief but also reflection, and something I bring into most of my music, a sense of unease and a little foreboding. I don't think the player can really feel a true sense of triumph after completing the wad, especially with the strange and dark turns it takes in episode 2. And like any good eldritch horror, if the journey didn't drive you insane, then you will at least bring a big piece of it back up to the surface with you. If the little vignettes on the way back up of all the maps you visited (absolutely borrowed from Going Down) doesn't make you feel that, then hopefully the midi does.

Obvious clickbait is obvious. Not actually that controversial. Just a bit of debate over a couple fights in this map that may have gotten a little heated so naturally Im here to just take a light jab at the situation.
