This early Spring road ride is perhaps the best kept secret among Bend roadies! As thousand flock to ride up McKenzie Pass before the road opens to auto traffic, this ride (closed to autos until late May) remains mostly "unridden." In addition to virtually no traffic of any kind, the ride offers incredible mountain views. The ride is best done by starting at the Mt. Bachelor ski area and riding down to Elk Lake (12 miles) and back to Mt. Bachelor.
