Radians, rooted in circular geometry, have long been the standard unit of angular measure in mathematics and physics. In this video, I argue that the cycle constitutes a more fundamental and generalized unit for describing waves, oscillators, and periodic phenomena. Here, I outline the axioms of a cycle-based system, reformulate key results, and highlight the conceptual and notational simplicity it brings to physics and engineering.
