Er, let me elaborate in 3 points...
1. I know, the title sounds dumb.
2. OK, so this "thing" here is supposed to be my very FIRST 'serious' attempt at stop-motion film making. I know it's choppy, I know it isn't visually pleasant at all, but bear with me anyway.
3. Answers to the questions that may arise in the viewers:
- What did I use to achieve it?
- Your standard ordinary webcam, and the dreaded Windows Movie Maker. Special effects added frame-by-frame in PowerPoint. No special stop-motion software was used.
- Why is it so choppy?
- I blame Movie Maker. I could only save 21 or so frames at a time, and it kept messing them up. The animation would look so much more fluent otherwise. And the clouds kept blocking the sunlight too. I tried to edit the brightness as best as I could.
- Why no title card?
- I don't like them, at least, in my videos.
- I can't hear well enough what Prime says.
- Again, MM is the culprit.
- Why use Cybertron Prime?
- It's the biggest Prime I have.
- What's with the scale? It's all messed up! Icarax should be TINY compared to Optimus!
- That's the size of the figures.
- What Makuta powers does Icarax demonstrate?
- Well, he uses his magnetic power first, shows off his teleportation skills, gives us a glimpse of his chain-lightning, power-scream, and heat-vision. He also shapeshifts.
- Why did you make the Bionicle win? You raped my childhood!
- 42 kraata powers, most of them pretty destructive, combined with super fighting-skills, sharp blades, and ruthlessness. Go figure...
- But Prime has the Matrix and the Touch!
- Didn't help much, as you could see.
- What about his Super-mode?
- Too hard to animate. :)
- How long did it take to make this?
- Couple of days, with the Movie Maker freezing and crashing every time it felt like it.
- Do the viewers actually bother to go through this?
- I hope so.
- You don't like Movie Maker that much, do you?
- What could I say, it's a love-hate relationship. There's nothing else I could use.
- Will Prime be afraid of Bionicle for eternity?
- Unless there will be a sequel, yes, I guess.
- You ain't funny.
- That's not a question.
- Why do the (non Gary Chalk) voices suck?
- I was in a hurry to record them. Sorry for Balta's Voya Nui-se accent.
