Just a teaser to show that I'm alive and active. Continue reading if you're interested in what this will be:
It's a preview for an as-of-yet untitled animated fan film I've been making for over a year. When will it be released? No idea, but I'm working on its final scene. What will it be about: Kopaka and his bro Pohatu looking for Krana and battling Bohrok in Ko-Wahi. What will the title be? No idea there, either. How long will it be? Approx. 15 minutes. Will the finished thing have better video quality? Nope, this is the best I could do with what I could work with.
Oh, and why subtitles instead of voices? First, because it's a kind of tribute to the old BIONICLE Flash episodes which also had subtitles. Second, it's easier, because I can constantly keep rewriting the lines if they need to be rewritten. Third, I make up the dialogue as I go and there's no film-making schedule, so getting voice actors to do and redo and re-redo their lines would be a complete mess. Fourth, I'll make a sub-free version in case anyone wants to record their voice(s) to it. Fifth, this opens up possibilities for spoof-dubs.
By popular demand, the finished thing will probably have the subtitles burnt into the video. I'd have liked to use YouTube captions instead, because I could upload subs in more languages that way, and edit them if they need correcting. But I'll probably make a version without burnt-in subtitles in case anyone wants to see all the pixels that the subs otherwise obscure.
EDIT: And, if anyone's wondering, the music is all from BIONICLE: The Legend Reborn, only with the volume cranked up to an audible level.
