The Tiger Claws are the second largest criminal gang in Night City, only behind the Valentinos. They are ruthless and highly territorial. Their main turf is the westbrook districts of Japantown and Charter Hill and also Kabui and Little China in Watson. In a nutshell they are the Cyberpunk 2077 version of the Triads or Yakuza. Gang members are predominantly Asian, and the organization’s primary objective is to maintain and display power. Tyger Claw foot soldiers are recognizable by their luminous Asian tattoos, fast street bikes and of course Katanas.

Their philosophy and business structure resembles that of the Japanese yakuza. Disrespecting or crossing even a low-level soldier can cause an immediate and violent reaction from the entire organization. The claws understand that business is preferable over war in the long run and that you can go further with a machine gun and principles of honor than with a machine gun alone.
However, many of their low rank soldiers are sadistic brutes who are prone to extreme violence. Abduction, torture and sexual assault are just a few examples of their mindset. It is not uncommon for less stable gang members to abuse their status with civilians or members from other gangs. Those acts are considered dishonorable by most senior members but they almost never turn their backs to them if things go south.
The main source of income for the Tyger Claws are the nightclubs. Japan town is a flourishing nightlife district and they are the owners of a significant portion of it. They own more business than any other gang in Night City making them almost as rich as a small corp. Their properties range from Bars, restaurants, brain dance clubs, brothels and even casinos. Most of these establishments are registered as legal business but in fact they act as fronts for illegal operations and money laundry. The gang also have a strong presence in prostitution and human trafficking, and this is yet another reason why they are constantly with friction with The Mox.
They also manufacture and distribute drugs and some members hire themselves out for hit jobs.

Beyond that, they are allegedly backed by the behemoth corporation Arasaka. Who have been known to outsource side jobs to the gang whenever they don’t want to get their hands too dirty. The payment is usually in the form of cybertech and military-grade automatic weapons.
This connection to one of the best weapons and cybernetics manufacturers of the whole world makes the Tyger Claws an unusually challenging opponent due to the superior firepower and tech.
