Columbus-based cartoonist and Bone creator Jeff Smith joins Wexner Center for the Arts Director of Film/Video David Filipi to discuss the 30th anniversary of his independent comic book company Cartoon Books, and the release of his latest books TUKI: Fight for Fire, and TUKI: Fight for Family! TUKI is set two million years ago, when many different types of humans roamed upright on two legs across east Africa. The story introduces the reader to a number of these groups: Australopithecus (the branch that included the famous Lucy); the Habiline people, whose bigger brains led to stone tool creation, and new humans who entered with an amazing new power, the ability to create and control fire!
