I got tired of trying to cut bottles using the popular hot/cold water method, only to end up with a jagged cut. So I searched and searched, then found another way! This technique does take a lot longer, but it also gives you more control of where the bottle cuts.

A bottle to cut
A bottle scoring jig (youtu.be/qRf38Rg-Nlg)
A Soldering Iron (amzn.to/2yPdAwS)
-or- (amzn.to/2oK9Xrh)
This link is the video that taught me this method. After a lot of experimenting, I modified the technique a little. One major thing to note, just use the tip of the soldering iron. DON'T use the thicker parts (heats too much area and can cause random cracks):
