My first gun video - wish me luck as I keep advancing my hobby of machining.
If you are reading the description welcome to my OCD zone: the thread protector could have been improved slightly by either reaming to final hole size before tapping or better yet, single point turning the threads. There was a little ‘wobble’ once torqued on the barrel. About 0.002” wobble. It was easily filed and polished to match the barrel but resulted in the end of the barrel being reduced from 0.700” to 0.696” - this trade off made for an invisible to the naked eye seam… but it could be better.
