A quick build inspired by my Grandpa and my kiddos.
Grandpa was an electrician and made an extension cord in this same way (though without the USB chargers) and it has lasted 50+ years.
My three kiddos are legends at destroying things and at losing things.
Using off the shelf parts this should last decades and is 100% rebuildable, upgradable, and repairable (and big enough to be easy to find).

While I am confidant in the safety of this, there are small details you may miss if making one that could affect the long-term reliability.
