Defeating the bosses in the remake of Cursed 1 (on the extended mode) and its ending.
While I would like to have beaten Solus hitless the Liar's Dice game preceding it makes attempts take a bit to repeat and the fight itself has the grab happen really fast to have little time to react to avoid damage. Were it not for the former I probably would have made more tries but it does seem a little RNG dependent. You can knock the orange fireball away with the sword but I must have missed the timing.
Anyhow, the remake is really well done. Combat in the original Cursed was very basic while this adds perfect blocks and charged hits. It's still simple compared to the second and third games but spices things up a bit. I do think perfect blocks are really tight on the timing that I couldn't hit them consistently especially for the living guard captain (but I think I'm pretty rubbish with parrying). As well, because for most fights there isn't anything punishing you for blocking (and you can cast magic while blocking) only a few fights like Solus can really threaten you.
Even so, this remake ups the quality of the first game to match the second and third game. It's a fun point-and-click adventure game with some combat though this one seems to have more instant death jumpscares compared to the other games so saving consistently is a good idea.
0:00 Giant Skull
0:43 Brute
1:14 Undead Guard Captain
2:40 Malus
4:34 Living Guard Captain in Training
7:02 Solus
8:54 The End?
13:03 Evil Jennifer
14:39 The End
