A Critical Dragon | Curse of the Mistwraith - Excerpt (A brief look at the writing) @ACriticalDragon | Uploaded April 2023 | Updated October 2024, 8 hours ago.
When we discuss books it is often difficult to articulate the style of the narrative in a way that everyone understands, so I thought that I would take a brief look at a short section from the first book of the Wars of Light and Shadow, Curse of the Mistwraith, by Janny Wurts.
This is especially so because I have heard Wurts' style described in a number of ways by different people (and some of those descriptions are mutually exclusive).

This is a very short sequence that illustrates some of Wurts' writing and techniques, and hopefully it will help illustrate how Wurts is telling her story.
No major spoilers or events are detailed in the section.
