It is pretty much accepted that this is an open and shut case, 'Authors shouldn't be in reviewer spaces' and everything about this discussion is settled, but every few months this topic crops up in discussions and there are some fairly important aspects of the discussion that are frequently glossed over.

So I try to talk through my understanding of the issues of the relationship between author and reviewer (especially on Booktube) and how it is not quite as neat and tidy as some of the discussions have made it seem.

I also tried to come up with some ways to address deficiencies in the argument and suggest some concrete actions that can be taken to help anyone who wants to make their stance on Authors and reviewers clearer for their channel.
