My friends, today I wanted to sit by the fireside and share some classic stories of speedrun controversies and curiosities throughout the ages. From a classic debate in the history of Super Mario 64, to a very unusual era in Ocarina of Time speedrunning, and then finally revisiting the "Rebecca Smiths" situation in GoldenEye 007's Frigate stage, let us warm up by the fire, get cozy, and ponder these remarkably unusual moments in the halls of speedrun lore.
On rewatching, I know I left out some details and made some small misspeaks. See if you can find them!! Such is the nature of unscripted storytelling. Looking forward to many more firesides this winter!
