I finally did it! This took months upon months of practice and grinding and overall investment in this category and to finally get a run I can feel proud of is a huge victory and relief.

I actually do love this game and this speedrun and the community around it and sticking with this for so long would not have been possible without that and without Jason2890 who's amazing level of play, dedication and innovation inspired me to continue to push my time down this low.

This run had some really stand out fights like Ribby who I hit some quick "pixel" perfect triple EX's on to end the bulls phase really fast, or Wally/Phantom who were both very optimal and clean fights, those are easily 2 of the hardest bosses in the entire run to optimize too.

Then there was the Devil where an extremely rare glitch happened that is caused by killing phase 2 during the transition due to really high damage on phase 1 and a specific pattern that made the phase last long enough for it to be possible. This glitch has a large variance on where devil ends up getting stuck and so where his eyes that you can damage on on end up is very different making this hard to ever get great practice on so what I did ended up being mostly improvised and it actually still was a great time somehow.

This run definitely felt special and it feels like a great ending point for me. I however love this category and hope to make an advanced tutorial so others can learn all these crazy strats and challenge the top times!

When I made the lobber/spread route for this category I thought it could be faster but never did I imagine it would end up being over 90 seconds faster than what the peashooter/spread world record was and while I did come up with a lot on my own, SBDWolf and especially Jason2890 came up with some brilliant strategies themselves that helped pushed this route even further than I could have dreamed of.

I hope you all enjoy this run and the culmination of thousands of hours of effort from the Cuphead speedrun community that made any of this possible!
