Driver Initiated Override, or Reserve Speed, is an electronic engine feature and is available on all 2007 or newer all on-highway Cummins diesel engines. Driver Initiated Override provides additional road speed to assist drivers in passing slower traffic. The additional vehicle speed, which is set by the fleet or owner, can be used for a maximum of 10 miles before returning to the set cruise or pedal speed.
