Police in Mpumalanga are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a provincial traffic officer was killed on the N4 outside Mbombela in the early hours of Monday.

The officer was allegedly hit by a mini-bus taxi while trying to instruct it to stop on the side of the road.

The taxi was en route to Mozambique.
