Lt-Col Deena Govender from the KZN Hawks, has come under fire for his inability to provide a sensible explanation behind direct ATM & cash deposits into his account, worth just over R3-million between August 2022 and December 2023.

This is more than 100 times his monthly SAPS take home salary, which points the Madlanga Commission to alleged money laundering.

Govender is accused of, in the main, being commissioned by alleged gang leader, Clive Naicker, to kill an alleged rival, Bevan Loftus, under the guise of a legitimate operation.
