A “Bright Future” trio at sundown! Three CSX locomotives in the classic YN2 or “Bright Future” livery are seen hauling mixed freight train Q389 through West Trenton, New Jersey. The lead engine, AC4400CW No. 488, is still kicking in YN2 paint as of this posting. The second engine, C40-8W No. 7352, was built in 1993 as Conrail No. 6179 and has since been retired from CSX’s roster. The third engine, SD60M No. 8781, was built in 1993 as Conrail No. 5561 and has since been retired from CSX’s roster and sold to the Yadkin Valley Railroad. This is one of my all-time favorite railroad liveries!
