sn0wsh00 | CS:GO - Wormhole @sn0wsh00 | Uploaded August 2020 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Just as the title says, a traversable, spherical wormhole with gravitational lensing in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The effect only works if you're looking at it from a certain angle, and the gravitation lensing doesn't really look particularly accurate, but hey, how often do you see something resembling relativistic physics in Counter-Strike?
This wormhole was created with a sphere and torus brush in Blender. Polycounts were kept in the hundreds so that Valve Hammer wouldn't take forever to compile. I also made sure the shading was smoothed. Then in Hammer, I set the lighting origin for each prop_static to an info_lighting entity (that also has an env_cubemap entity nearby) that I placed at each portal's destination.
