On the Bomb: Dockyard heist, an invisible barrier blocks human players from walking on the gate once the C4 countdown has begun. However, enemies and friendly AI can still cross this barrier. When the gate explodes, all enemies are killed. For bots, on the other hand, they end up being caught in a loop where it appears that they are constantly being downed (or doing sit-ups). Trying to help them up merely resets the the down timer. Thus, you're stuck with having the bots go into custody.
