This week we are rolling back to the 90's. Inline skates, also known as "Rollerblades", became a billion dollar industry. In 1980, Scott and Brennan Olson were two hockey playing brothers who redesigned ice skates to practice hockey off-season and outdoors. They replaced the blade with wheels and added a break for safety in their parents' basement. This led them to create their own company called Rollerblade, Inc. within a year. The following clip gives you a look at the revolution of rollerblades becoming the recreational sport of the 90s. Whether we're riding leisurely, playing street hockey, or traveling from one place to another, rollerblades changed the way we spend our free time and provided a new convenient method for ground transportation.
