Join me this week on a captivating solo female travel journey as I make my way from the UK to Portugal. In a leisurely three-day drive, I meander through the picturesque landscapes of France, power through Spain in a single day, and pause to explore the enchanting Guarda district as I cross the Portuguese border.
Throughout this adventure, my trusty car transforms into an off-grid tiny home. For three days, I eat, sleep, and drive in this cozy space, embodying the true essence of self-sufficiency. I have power, storage, and the means to cook meals - as I strive toward the ultimate expression of 'home anywhere,' as astutely suggested by @ruthconstantino6861, one of my thoughtful viewers.
To achieve this off-grid independence, I've enlisted the help of my PowerOak Bluetti and compressor fridge, two indispensable travel companions. The fridge, a recent purchase at the September Overland Show has already proven to be a game-changer in my pursuit of 'home anywhere.'
My first destination in Portugal is the Silver Coast where I seen one night at my friends Airbnb that ,serendipitously, is free for that night.
Following this, I venture off to spend a couple of nights with a subscriber turned friend in a tiny home. Why? That's a story I'll unfold in a future video.
With a week to spare before my next house sit, I set my course for Bella Pedra Farm, where I camp in the serene olive grove, embracing more off-grid living. Here, I delve into solo female camping, finding a true connection with nature and the thrill of being self-sufficient.
