Here we are on the Harmony of the Seas Royal Caribbean cruise ship, hours before leaving the harbour at Civitavecchia port of Rome Harbour. Also moored in the harbour are two cruise ships , the Silver Shadow and the Costa Toscana. Over on the far right sits a very large superyacht called the Boardwalk.

The Boardwalk Superyacht
The 117-metre Lürssen superyacht Boardwalk has been delivered to her owner and is currently cruising towards Gibraltar, according to AIS. We saw it in harbour at Civitavecchia port of Rome Harbour. This marks the German shipyard’s third delivery of the year. The shipyard explained that she is 'among the largest traditionally styled yachts ever to be built, both in length and volume.'

Launched in December 2025 from the Lürssen Aumund facility in Vegesack, Bremen, Germany, construction began on the Lürssen 13797 yacht in 2021. In March 2026, Boardwalk was spotted on sea trials in Lemwerder, Germany.
