Crossrail is focused on the complex task of fitting out the new tunnels and stations with the necessary infrastructure and railway systems to enable TfL-run services to commence through central London and Docklands in December 2018. This includes the installation of track, tunnel ventilation, high voltage power, traction power, signalling, communications and overhead line equipment.

This short animation gives a detailed overview of this work, focussing on the fleet of bespoke machines that Crossrail are using.
