So last year I didn't release as many covers as I'd have liked to - only 8 compared to previous years. Hopefully this year I'm more productive. Let's kick 2019 off with this. This is something I've been meaning to cover since I first heard it. As for the show itself, I thought it started off quite well, but I wasn't enjoying it as much near the end.

I got the idea for this while I was listening to A Cruel Angels Thesis, where I noticed that the drum introduction to the main motif sounds almost exactly like the drums for Never Gonna Give You Up. And with my new drum sounds which mean I can finally create tom sounds, I thought it would be amusing :)
I am planning on doing a proper cover of A Cruel Angels Thesis at some point- Im currently stuck on what to do for the bit post-chorus.

Im going to be honest, I couldnt get into Evangelion. But I dont think anyone can deny that the OP is amazing, so I finally got round to covering it!
Also, this is showing off the new drum sounds! Ive finally worked out a way to emulate toms by combining a pitch down on the triangle channel with the noise channel.
