In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet moose applique.

If you would like to view the crochet pattern for free, it’s on my website at kerriscrochet.com/crochet-moose-pattern or you can download it from Ravelry at ravelry.com/patterns/library/moose-16 for $1 at and LoveCrafts at lovecrafts.com/en-gb/p/moose-crochet-pattern-by-kerris-crochet

You can also subscribe to Kerri’s Crochet Newsletter and get a free copy of the Crochet Cat Towel eBook at kerriscrochet.com/crochet-pattern-ebook-and-newsletter

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colors (162) Black Coffee, (254) Moon Rock and (110) Black. Crochet hooks, I used a 2.5mm hook for the main parts and a 2.25mm hook for the neatening rows. A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors. Thread and needle to stitch the moose together. Black embroidery thread or a black bead for the eye if desired.

The finished size will be 19cm wide x 18cm high (7.5” wide x 7” high) for the larger moose, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the moose in Catona will be 15.5cm wide x 14cm high (6” wide x 5.5” high). The medium moose will be 13cm wide x 12cm high (5.5” wide x 4.75” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small moose will be 10cm wide x 9cm high (4.5” wide x 3.5” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
