In my crochet tutorial today I'll be showing you how to make this easy crochet rainbow applique.

For this pattern you will need crochet cotton or wool, I used Scheepjes Catona crochet cotton colours (208) Yellow Gold, (106) Snow White, (115) Hot Red, (515) Emerald, (146) Vivid Blue and (189) Royal Orange. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. Scissors. Darning needle to weave in ends. Sewing thread and needle to stitch the rainbow together.

The finished size will be 17.5cm x 10cm (6.75” x 4”) for the larger rainbow, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the rainbow in Catona will be 16cm x 8cm (6.25" x 3"). The medium rainbow will be 13cm x 7cm (5” x 2.75”) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small rainbow will be 10cm x 5.5cm (4” x 2.25”) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
