I recently completed a baby blanket and came up with this method to join the squares (I've no doubt not invented anything but had not seen it done like this before though I'm sure other people have used this method). I like the look of the seam it creates and the fact that it's also nice and flat. I was asked what method I had used on my blanket so I made a video to demonstrate.
The blanket is made using Destany Wymore's Victorian Lattice Square pattern which can be found here: ravelry.com/patterns/library/victorian-lattice-square
