This is a very easy pattern, with a 1 row repeat. Simply work 2 rectangles similar to scarves, then join at the sides. Crochet a chain cord (or 2 depending on which style you choose for the top), pass it through a row of stitches, and tie at the back of the neck, (or at the shoulders if you choose that style). I used Red Heart Soft yarn.

MATERIALS:
Ww yarn (600 - 12OO YARDS)

9 mm crochet hook (US M or N)
Yarn needle
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Work 2 RECTANGLES similar to scarves.
Work a foundation chain 1/2 the hip measurement + 1 inch; in multiples 4.
(Example: 40 inch hips = 21 inch long foundation chain. If chest is larger, use chest
measurement.)
2. Double crochet in the 3rd stitch from the hook, chain 2, skip 2 stitches,
*dc in each of the next 2 stitches, chain 2, skip 2 stitches, repeat from * across the
row.
3. Chain 2 and turn, dc in the next stitch, *chain 2, skip 2 stitches, dc in the next 2
dc stitches, repeat from * across the row. (At the end of the row, dc in the dc and in
the turning chain.)
4. Repeat step 3 until the rectangle is the length desired.
MAKE 2.
OPTIONAL:Add fringe to the top and bottom of the rectangles.
Sew together at the side seams, beginning approx. 6-8 inches from the top, and
allowing long slits at the bottom.
Chain a cord, pass through the 3rd row down from the top, tie around the neck.
OR
Pass a chain cord through both the front and back, and tie at the shoulders to form
straps.
