Round 1 (Set-Up): Ch 4, sl st to first ch to form a ring (or make a magic ring). Ch 3 (counts as dc), 11 dc in ring. Fasten off. — 12 dc
Round 2 (Set-Up): Join in any sp between dc. Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in same sp. *2 dc in next sp; rep from * around. Fasten off. — 24 dc
Round 3 (Set-Up): Join in any sp between 2-dc groups. Ch 3, 2 dc in same sp (first cluster). *Sk 2 sts, 3 dc in next sp; rep from * around. Fasten off. — 36 dc
Round 4 (Increase Round): Join in any sp. Ch 3, 2 dc in same sp (first cluster). 4 dc in next sp. *3 dc in next sp, 4 dc in next sp; rep from * around. Fasten off. — 42 dc

🔧 Troubleshooting: If Your Circle Starts Looking Like a Hexagon…
If you notice your circle starting to look like a hexagon, it means the increases are beginning to stack in the same spots each round. To fix this, just change up the order of your repeat for a round or two so the increase lands in a different place.
For example:
If a round says:
3 dc, 3 dc, 3 dc, 4 dc (increase)
Try switching the order for the next increase round like:
4 dc , 3 dc, 3 dc, 3 dc
Or:
3 dc, 4 dc, 3 dc, 3 dc
Same total stitches ✅ Same pattern ✅
This will help move the points, soften the hexagon look, and improve the circle shape.
