What can be said, that wasn't already said in the title? I'm a big Marvel guy. I've followed their continuity since before I can remember. Actually, since you're reading the description and all... My dad was a truck driver. He worked long weeks, & he was only ever back on the weekends. Every time he returned home he NEVER failed to bring me an action figure of some sort. A lot of the times, they were Marvel X-Men, or Spider-Man. That's actually how I was introduced to Deadpool LONG before anyone ever knew his name, and before he even had an Easter Egg cameo in the 90's cartoon X-Men series.
So naturally as I matured into my teen aged years, I'd follow these comics I grew up on. In doing so I stumbled across "Ms Marvel" and I fell in love with the character. She was bold, strong, independent, clever, witty and just over-all a badass chick! Its because I know her so well from the comics that I have the right to say ALL of the critics you have been listening to are wrong! Brie Larson's acting was NOT flat. Brie Larson can certainly act, and its highly likely that her best performance was NOT on display here because Ms Marvel isn't the type of character that requires a good performance! She's just a kickass super heroine shrouded in a mysterious origin, which is likely the only part of the movie that they got wrong besides just plain dumb logic on the part of Mc Fury!
I had fun with this movie. I enjoyed it, & I'll tell you so much more about it in the actual review!
