Yellow Sands; Or- Eight Tales of Pixie Mischief is the second record by Cries for Colour, the recording project of Canadian drummer, songwriter and producer Quinn Downton. Is an eclectic psychedelic rock album with shades of Sigur Ros-esque spacious prog and Björk's brand of ethereal electronica; lush and wistful songcraft a la Weyes Blood punctuates the quieter moments. Every song on the album features Colin Edwin—fretless bassist and sub-frequency guru best known for his nearly twenty years of work in UK cult rock band Porcupine Tree.
