After some recent work recreating some retro computer decals I stumbled across the Cricut cutting machines and found the Joy Xtra to my liking. It's able to cut vinyl, paper, cardstock and similar materials. I like that it handles letter and legal size paper which is good as this supports "print and cut", a feature that enables printing from a computer printer and then having the machine do the cutting after (with a cutting mat). It also can plot (using a pen or marker to draw shapes, letters and numbers). For its cost it's not a bad little machine. The connectivity being Bluetooth only can be a little limiting and I found it to be problematic at times. The machine also has the ability to do foil transfers although I don't have the tool attachment so I can't elaborate on that.
