Prairiewood Retreat and Preserve is a privately owned tallgrass prairie preserve nestled in the Flint Hills just west of Manhattan, KS. They host getaways, weddings, business retreats and various other community events. With the current climate of "social distancing", Prairiewood has graciously opened their trails to the public as a means to access fresh air and open space! We took advantage of this offer and enjoyed an afternoon hike at this beautiful location. We highly recommend a visit if you are ever in the Manhattan area. Trail hours are from 1pm - dusk on Wednesdays and Sundays.
