A national blue plaque has been unveiled to the Reverend Wilbert Awdry, creator of 'Thomas the Tank Engine'. 🚂
The plaque at his former home, 30 Rodborough Avenue in Stroud, Gloucestershire, marks 80 years since 'The Three Railway Engines' was published.
Today, the Reverend Awdry’s creation has grown into a global phenomenon. 'Thomas & Friends' first aired on television in 1984 and has since expanded into films, toys, books, and live events.
