In this video entitled, "Creative Lighting A GREAT FIRST LESSON" I demonstrate how effective your flash is at freezing moving subjects.
My good pal Lee and I headed to a skate park in Leeds a couple of days ago to create some images using flash off-camera. A technique we in the industry call "Off Camera Flash". Inventive name!
When we set off, we had never been to the park before nor had we planned on meeting anyone there. Totally organised as always! Having said that, I rarely plan too much. I'm very guilty of just going for it and if it works it works, if it doesn't, then so be it.
Anyways, we bumped into George and his buddies who were more than happy to offer their services.
I set out to create this video as if it was a first lesson. Almost like a one-to-one. I break down how and why I set my camera and flash the way I do.
