In this video, Minimalist Photography, I set out to transform an old, weather-beaten Scottish jetty into a series of striking Fine Art images.
At first glance, it’s just a forgotten structure on a quiet stretch of coastline. But look a little closer… and something else begins to emerge. Lines. Texture. Mood. Space. The raw ingredients of minimalist art.
One of the questions I’m asked most often is why I create so much Fine Art and Minimalist photography. The answer is simple: art is everywhere. Even in the most overlooked, ordinary places. You just have to train your eye to see it, and understand how to shape it into something powerful.
This video isn’t just about photographing a jetty. It’s about seeing differently. Slowing down. Stripping away the noise. And proving that with the right vision, even the most unassuming location can become something extraordinary.
