YEC Dr. John Sanford came up with the idea of "genetic entropy", which posits that species must be young, because mutation accumulation makes extinction inevitable over conventional timescales. YEC Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson proposed the "created heterozygosity and natural processes" model, which argues for the creation of Biblical "kinds" in a heterozygous state followed by speciation through an increase in homozygosity.
