In this Photo Deconstruction I take you behind the scenes of a fashion image that was taken during my Fashion Intensive workshop (👉 https://lindsayadler.photo/fashionintensive) at a stunning palace in Milan. I don't ordinarily have these workshops abroad but this was a special occasion and the images captured were amazing!
I'll show you how I used glowing red gels, strategic pockets of light, and rich color grading to create a dramatic and evocative final image.

💡 Lighting
1. The main light was a Profoto D2 with a red gel (placed in the far back left to create mood and ambiance).
2. The second light was a 5 degree grid (used for tight, hard light on the face or background)
3. Beauty dish with a grid (provides flattering lighting on the subject from head to midsection) - optionally used)
