In this Photo Deconstruction I'll take you behind the scenes in the creation of a vibrant, electric neon green fashion image. This setup was a bit more advanced than usual, using a total of 6 lights and in-camera techniques to achieve the end result.

💡Lighting (6)
1. Main Light: Profoto D2 with Wescott Optical Spot and kit lens, creating a slice of light on the subject's face and chest.
2. Overhead Light: Optical Spot with a yellowish-green gel, creating a beam of light from above, enhanced by a haze machine.
3 & 4. Rim Lights: Two 1x4 ft strip softboxes with grids and yellow-green gels on the left and right, providing rim lighting.
5. Fill Light: Bare head with light blue and green-yellow gels, minimal impact on the final image.
6. Additional Light: 2 ft Nanlite PavoTube with a grid, set to electric green, matching the dress and enhancing the overall color scheme.
🖌 Post Processing
- Color grading to enhance neon green and adjust yellow highlights to yellow-green
- Increased contrast and clarity, cooled down white balance, added green tint and cyan to highlights
- Darkened edges and brightened beam of light in the background
- Retouched to smooth skin, fill empty spaces in the dress, and emphasize light beam
- Used generative fill to extend dress movement and background
- Final image features electric green, shutter drag effect, and multiple lighting techniques
