In this GIMP tutorial I show you how to design better 3D text using a simple hack I came up with featuring all built-in tools. We all know how to create simple 3D text with a single perspective, but this technique uses multiple, more complex perspectives to produce a more realistic 3D result. I also include adding a bevel as well as some lighting and shading more even more dimension. GIMP can definitely produce professional quality text effects even though it's a free photo editor and graphic design software!
