In this tutorial I show you how to create a simple 3D text effect with shading and a highlight using GIMP! GIMP is primarily a free photo editor, though it also has tons of filters and text effects that make it a great graphic design program as well. I show you how to add text, add shadowing and shading, customize the colors using a color palette, and add a highlight to bring everything together.
Beginners are welcome for this quick and easy technique!
