On today's 3D #livestream i'm joined by @SteveBiegun, the man who has been single-handedly teaching me UE consistently over the last 3 months. Over the next few hours we're joining forces to create a large, cinematic environment live before your very eyes.
First we'll look at reference of the Arecibo Satallite dish (the largest in the world) in order to work efficiently. Steve will sculpt the landscape in UE4 while I place assets in C4D.
From there, Steve will paint foliage in UE while I texture the radar dishes on my end, using a master material we made together.
Once texturing is complete, I'll send him my assets using the Datasmith Importer built into UE. We'll tweak the lighting, fog, and camera settings together to get our render.
But we're not done yet, because i'm going to put the final touches in it in Photoshop. Can't wait to jump in with you guys! If you'd like to follow along, UE is a FREE program and can be downloaded here:
