For the deepest look into my creative process, assets, project files and tons more, consider becoming one of my first Patreons 🙏🏼 patreon.com/pwnisher
In 2006 I uploaded my first YouTube video. It was a compilation of my sickets stunts in Grand Theft Auto, cut in Windows Movie Maker. It was fun! And making things has always been a passion of mine. So I made short films, and started making 3D/VFX videos. But a couple weeks after my first 1M view video, my channel got wiped.
I was logged in to a public PC, and some yahoo wiped everything I built over the last few years.
For some reason, it motivated me to make better videos though. It gave me a fresh start for Phase Two, and along came Cardboard Warfare, Killzone Extraction, The STALKER short, Cardboard Warfare 2 Sleeping Dogs, Dead Island and Wolfenstein. Then I just stopped making videos.
I took a job at Rocket Jump with Freddie Wong for nearly three years, and as alot of you know, Corridor Digital for another three after that. I was worried that too much time has passed, and if I posted a video after such a long break, my fan-base would be angry. So I didn't post for 6 years.
But one day last year, I decided enough was enough, and live-streamed the recreation of one of my favorite Studio Ghibli shots. It was fun and people actually showed up to watch. I've always had a passion for education, and felt this could be a thing. Thus Phase Three begun, and I've been at it consistantly ever since.
I've never posted so regularly in my life. While working at Corridor, keeping up the live-streams going was tough. Almost too tough, but I knew consistancy was the number one thing needed for a succesful YouTube channel, so I stuck with it.
And eventually I had to make a choice. Corridor? Or my personal creative career?
Today on the stream I want to share my journey with you, celebrate what we've accomplished as a community over the last year and a half, what the future of this channel looks like, and how we can work together to accomplish our creative goals. Can't wait for this!
