Learn about useful upgrades to Creality Ender printers to print at temperatures above 205c. Many 3d printers limit hot end temperatures to 250c because PTFE or "Teflon" components degrade at higher temperatures. In this video, I walk through 3 upgrades to my Ender 5, a new Bowden tube, a replacement print surface and the installation of a Micro Swiss All Metal Hotend. Taken together these upgrade support printing at temperatures of up to 275c. I printed test prints using ColorFab XT, a co-polyester filament, with a glass transition point of 75c.
As part of the installation process, I walk my viewers step by step thought the PID tuning process using the terminal interface in MatterHackers MatterControl program.
Please share your comments so we can continue to learn things together.
