Sioux Falls has one of the best bike trail systems in the United States. There are over 30 paved miles of bike trails in the city.
The major portion of the Bike Trail is a 20 mile loop around Sioux Falls itself. And for the most part the whole trail is pretty straight forward.
That is until you get to the switchback between the South Dakota Penitentiary and Falls Park.
If you are going counter clockwise on the bike trail, this it's a 1/4 mile grueling uphill suckfest.
If you are going clockwise, it's a downhill white-knuckle tube shoot. It’s a fun run, but make sure your brakes are in good working order.
