Craftmade Wellington 52" ceiling fan in verdi. This fan was also salvaged from the same local closed restaurant as the Charlestons, so I decided to break up the videos a bit by throwing this one in now. It was added into the front counter/waiting area in the early-mid 2000s, where there was no fan prior. I always thought that was cool, since at the time a lot of fans were being deleted from restaurant decor. There were existing lighting fixtures in a verde finish throughout much of the restaurant, so it was also cool that they made the clear choice to coordinate this addition. I'm assuming they ran it off a handheld remote probably kept at the counter, because there weren't really any hardwired locations within range. They did allow me to look around for either option that might exist, but I couldn't locate anything, which kind of aligns with my assumption. I hadn't seen this fan running for quite some time, so I think they lost/broke the remote long ago and it's probably already been gone for a decade or more. Thankfully it's a pretty basic system, so I had a wall control to suit. Was a little rough starting after not running for so long, but after breaking in again for a bit, can't complain too much about the resulting performance. Has kind of a lot of motor hum, but the airflow is superb. It also wants to default to reverse every time power is cut. Minor inconvenience, at least it works at all. Sometimes those electronics quirks sort out again with use so you never know. Despite its couple-decade shorter lifespan in the building than the Charlestons, there was plenty of cleaning to be done. Lots of grease and grime buildup, and I think more dust than any of the Charlestons! Also, pretty shocked this fan never fell down. The electrical work was sketch, box barely hanging on. Glad it held on long enough for me to scoop. Always liked this design, and of course the childhood factor adds a lot.
