If you've never seen the official video for this song ("The Wilhelm Scream" by James Blake), I would recommend taking a peak at it because the entire aesthetic of this video is based on it. My goal in making this video was to emulate that video, but also to create an effect motif that I had never seen before in AMVs. This is just a lot of Gaussian blurs, masking, and layering -- nothing crazy fancy, and all done in Sony Vegas 8. I'm pretty proud of it -- especially the fact that I was able to basically just combine a number of simple, basic effects into something new -- but I also recognize that this will not be to everyone's tastes. It's very different from anything I've ever edited before. I totally understand if it's not your thing.
