So yeah, new game modes for some form of minor victory. While Gun Master isn't exactly perfect, it is certainly fun, and doing as well as I did with only minor hintage as to the weapon lineup was good enough for my seemingly poor standards.

As for the things that are flawed about Gun Master, there's the MK3A1 setup and the M320. If you're going to force people to stutter out two kills with 12G Frag rounds, at least give them Extended Magazines as well. It takes the entire supply of shells in my beloved Jackhammer to just take down a single guy... if you're lucky. And as for the M320 LVG... either give it direct impact kill powers or replace it with the stock M320 and give it 2 kills instead of one. It's an absolutely worthless piece of garbage and getting a kill with it requires a heavy dose of stupidity on the enemy's part.

Irrespective of those nuances, it's fun as hell. And the best part? No equipment. No Claymores, no beacons, no ammo boxes, no medpacks, NO DEFIBS. This is what Team Deathmatch should have always been like, but instead they insist on leaving in equipment which promotes camping and chokepoint-based fights unlike anything I've ever seen before in a shooter.
